You know, because it's not possible for us to come into the presence of God like this and remain the same. Our lives will always be transformed. I hope you've been enjoying our Monday morning prayer sess as well as our Tuesday and Thursday prayer sessions, which is, you know, our amazing prayers of the spirit that we've also been putting out. My husband's been putting out at 6am so all of our prayers have been running out at 6am so we've got about three days that you can join us in prayer and strengthen your prayer life and engage in the realm of the Spirit and get impacted and get imparted to, you know, from what the Word says and our amazing Teach Us how to Pray prayer platform. So welcome to today. It's Monday. It is a brand new week. And of course right here on Monday morning prayers, we're going to enter into, you know, his courts with praise. We're going to enter into his gates with thanksgiving. The reason, you know, we started Teach Us how to Pray, it was modeled after the book of, you know, Luke 11, verse 1, where the disciples come to the Lord Jesus Christ and say, master, teach us how to pray.
[00:06:50] And so what we find out about prayer is that it is A beautiful communication tool that we, you know, were given and gifted by our Father, where we can fellowship, where we can commune with him, where we can make changes in our lives, where we can make requests, and most importantly, where we can have a platform to worship and to honor him, because he is God and, you know, we are his creation. So he's the one who gives us his word. He's the one that gives us these amazing tools, and he tells us how to use, you know, these tools of prayer. So the Lord Jesus is the one who teaches us how to pray. And as we go through our various weeks on teach us how to pray in this new season of prayer. And even in our previous season of prayer, we shared, you know, so many formats of prayer that we can find in the Word, so many ways that we can. We can pray. And one of the most important things that we do right here at Teachers how to Pray is we pray in the Spirit on all occasions. Hallelujah. We pray with the Spirit on all occasions. So that is something that you'd always find on our prayer session is that we're filled with the Holy Spirit. And we love to speak in other tongues because the Bible says that he that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself. He builds himself up. Hallelujah. So as we start off our week, we are starting it with pray with worship. We're starting it with honoring the Lord because He is our creator.
[00:08:22] Hallelujah. And we are his creation. And he's the one that requests worship. He's the one that requests honor and praise. So we start with. With worship, and we start with prayers of thanksgiving unto his name, because he has requested that. But then we also pray in the Spirit. So we step into our week with thanksgiving and praise, and we step into our week being edified, being built up in our spirit. You know, another scripture says that he that speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to man, but he speaks to God. So we start off our week by speaking to God.
[00:08:57] And then we pray in accordance with God's word, and we pray regarding certain topics, and we pray regarding our week. We make prophecies, we make declarations, and we send our words into the realm of the Spirit, and we direct our week. And you know, something that is so beautiful is as we praying, we're getting strengthened, we're getting energized, we're getting filled with the Holy Spirit so that whatever challenge might come on our way, we are well equipped to face that challenge. We're not going to crumble. When we come, you know, to that challenge. And we are well equipped to overcome and we are well equipped to triumph in that challenge. So that is what our Monday morning prayers are all about. And we're going to start off with our very first, first, you know, prayer, which is a prayer of praise, a prayer of worship, a prayer of thanksgiving. So how it works is that I read out the Scriptures, the scriptures come onto your screen, and we pray in accordance with those scriptures. So we're going to start off with our, you know, our scripture of prayer and thanksgiving, and then we're going to get into what we're praying about specifically for this week, which is the power of our words.
[00:10:10] But I'm going to read to you from the book of Psalms 141, verse 2, which says, May my prayer be set before you like incense, and may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. May my prayer be said before you like incense, and may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. You know, this is the psalmist David just speaking about how his words and his praise and the lifting up of his hands, you know, is equivalent to the sacrifices that used to get done at least three times a day. You know, the slaughtering of the animals, the incense, you know, the smell, the aroma, you know, that would go up to heaven and and that would please God.
[00:11:02] And so now in the New Testament, the way that we give our sacrifices of praise, the way we give our sacrifices of worship is with the fruits of our lips giving thanks unto his name and with the lifting up of our hands. And the Psalmist David says that this is like the evening sacrifice. He says, may my prayer be said before you like incense, and may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. So let's give our sacrifices of praise unto the Lord this beginning of this week, and let's come before his throne.
[00:11:45] Oh, Father, we worship you, great King of glory. Oh, Yeshua Meshach, we honor you.
[00:11:54] And this morning upon this prayer altar, we ask you that our prayers be like incense unto you.
[00:12:06] May our prayers be like incense unto you, and may the lifting up of our hands be as the evening sacrifice. Oh, you're worthy. You're worthy. Wherever you are right now, just lift up your hands to heaven and bless his name and honor him and worship him.
[00:12:48] We bring to you a sacrifice of praise.
[00:12:53] At the beginning of this week, we bring to you a sacrifice of praise with the fruit of our lips, giving thanks unto your name and we pray that our prayer may rise up to you like incense.
[00:13:22] Oh, receive our prayer. Receive our worship.
[00:13:27] Receive our praise.
[00:13:31] And may the lifting up of our hands be as the evening sacrifice.
[00:13:43] You are God, Yeshua. You are God.
[00:13:51] We raise our hands to you. We worship you.
[00:13:56] Oh, we bow. We bow before your throne.
[00:14:16] We bring to you a sacrifice of praise wherever you are.
[00:14:31] Glorify his name. Worship his name.
[00:14:36] Praise, blessing and honor.
[00:14:41] Praise, blessing and honor be unto you, Yeshua Meshiach of Nazareth, the Lamb which was slain before the foundations of the world.
[00:14:57] Praise, blessing, honor, glory, power, dominion be unto you wisdom.
[00:15:12] We step into this week honoring you. We walk into this week praising your name.
[00:15:19] We come into this week with the sacrifice of praise, with the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
[00:15:28] Because you are God.
[00:15:31] You are God all by yourself. Monarch of the universe, the Creator that was never created.
[00:15:44] The Prince of the kings of the earth.
[00:15:50] Receive our praise. Receive our praise. Receive our worship.
[00:15:55] Wherever you are. Lift your hands. Worship him. Use your words. All the fruit of your lips. The fruit of your lips. Honor him.
[00:16:11] Thank him. Thank him for he's been good.
[00:16:15] Thank him for who he is.
[00:16:19] Thank him.
[00:16:21] Worship him for who he is.
[00:16:25] Oh, worship you, Yeshua.
[00:16:29] I worship you.
[00:16:41] Thank you. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for your mercy which is poured out toward us, your children.
[00:16:49] Thank you for making us new creations.
[00:16:53] Thank you for the gifts of righteousness, righteousness. Thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you for your sweet holy spirit.
[00:17:04] Oh, thank you. Because every good thing, every good gift, it comes from you. Oh, we worship you. We worship you. We honor you. We give you praise. Yeshua. Meshiach of Nazareth. Yeshua. Meshiach of Nazareth. We call upon your name on this prayer altar. Yeshua. Yeshua, you are worthy.
[00:17:29] Praise, blessing and honor be unto you the Lamb which was slain before the foundation of the world. Be glorified in our lives. Be. Be glorified in our bodies. Be glorified. Be glorified.
[00:17:46] Be glorified in our finances. Be glorified in our families. Be glorified in every area of our life. We worship you. We worship you with the fruit of our lips, with the lifting up of our hands. Giving thanks, giving thanks, giving worship, giving honor, Giving glory unto your name. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[00:18:10] Oh, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
[00:18:13] This is Monday morning prayers. If you've just joined us, we always start off our Monday morning prayers just by going into a time of praise, worship and thanksgiving, because the Lord told us to do that. Hallelujah. We see that that Scripture says, may my prayer be said before you like incense, and may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifices. Every time we come into a place of prayer, we want to give the Lord a sacrifice of praise. A sacrifice of praise, a sacrifice of worship. You know, it's not always easy when you're facing challenges, when you're going. Going through things and you want to come into the place of prayer and you just want to pour out your heart and, you know, you want to make your requests, you want to make your declarations, and so you can see that it's a sacrifice, it's an offering that you have to give unto the Lord before you can even, you know, deal with your issues and deal with your problems.
[00:19:09] We first give him the praise, and we know that when the praises go up, his glory comes down, his blessings come down. Hallelujah. And as I mentioned, at the beginning of the prayer session, we are dealing with our words, our words in today's prayer session. Okay, so I'm going to start off with reading the scripture. It's Proverbs, 18:21.
[00:19:34] We're now studying the Word before we go into a time of prayer. Very popular scripture that says the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
[00:19:49] Your tongue, this little part of your body, has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. So this morning, this week, we're going to be praying about the power of our words. We're going to be praying about changing, you know, the things, things that we have enacted into our lives, perhaps in the past through using the wrong words. And we're going to be enacting a new future for ourselves this week and always with the power of our words. You know, brothers and sisters, our words are so vital. Our words are so important. When we go to the beginning of Scripture, we can see that the Lord. Lord makes, you know, a declaration, and he says, let there be light, and there was life.
[00:20:44] Sorry. There was light and there was life.
[00:20:48] The Word of God also says that we were created in his image.
[00:20:53] This is the kind of communication that we already see right at the beginning of the Word of God. And so when it says that we were created in his image, it doesn't always necessarily, you know, speak about, okay, physically, we are creating in his image. We're beautiful, we're handsome, we're pretty, we're beautiful. Yeah, that. That's a good way of thinking about it. But when it says we are created in God's Image, it's referring to us being a spirit.
[00:21:18] Man is a spirit, and God is a spirit. And so, in the same way, God as a spirit, said, let there be light, and his words had that power.
[00:21:30] We have that same ability. So we're made in his image. We have his ability. We have his nature. We have his capacity.
[00:21:39] So when we speak, we are enacting things.
[00:21:44] So we are spirits. Life is spiritual, and words are spiritual, and words are tools. And that's why it says that the tongue has the power of life, Life or death.
[00:21:58] Praise the Lord. James 3, 4, 5 says, and look at the ships.
[00:22:03] Even though they are so large and driven by strong winds, they are still directed by a very. A very small rudder.
[00:22:12] In the same sense, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.
[00:22:20] So what is James trying to tell us?
[00:22:22] He's saying that such a large ship, the direction of the ship, is steered or directed by the rudder, which is really small in comparison to the entire ship.
[00:22:38] Okay, so they are directed by a very small rudder. Ships, large ships, are directed by a very small rudder.
[00:22:46] And it makes a comparison, the rudder, with the table tongue. It's a small part of the body. Imagine the tongue in comparison to the head or the tongue in comparison to the leg.
[00:22:58] It's. It's a very small part of the body, yet it says it boasts of great things.
[00:23:07] Hallelujah.
[00:23:08] So, you know, on this Monday morning prayer, we want to set things right for our week. We want to set things right for always.
[00:23:16] We want to ensure that as we pray right now, we start to deal in the spirit with our words, because we can do that.
[00:23:27] We can get the strength and the discipline in the place of prayer to continually be strengthened to speak the right words concerning ourselves. We can also renew our mind using the word of God so that we will always be reminded to speak the right words. Words.
[00:23:48] I'm gonna go to Colossians 4, 6, which says, Let your speech always be gracious, always be seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
[00:24:03] Let your speech always be gracious. As a Christian, when you audit your words, can you, you know, can you truly say that your speech is always gracious?
[00:24:20] Or, you know, is your speech not always gracious? And so, you know, some people are very ruled by their emotions and their flesh, and they're like, no, I have to speak what I feel. I feel this way. I think this way right now. And sometimes your thoughts can be assumptions.
[00:24:38] Sometimes your feelings can be based, you know, on a past trauma that you've had and then you just speak those words. Those words aren't necessarily gracious. And then some people, you know, they see this word of God and what it says about the way we should be communicating as Christians and the way we should be using our words as, you know, life instead of death.
[00:25:02] And to them it's just religion.
[00:25:05] It's just, you know, it's a nice thing to say on the pulpit in the church, but they're not planning to do this word right. So what is going to help us when we pray? When we pray about it, we get the strength, we get the ability, we get the discipline to enforce God's word, to live in accordance with the way he would want us to live, which is the kingdom way for us to stand, start communicating rightly.
[00:25:33] Hallelujah. So it ceases just to be something that sounds nice and religious on a Sunday morning? No, this now becomes our life. And in the place of prayer we are strengthened.
[00:25:45] We are strengthened to speak correctly. And, and so you, you might say, you guys, you pray about everything. Yes, we pray about everything because we need that supernatural strength, we need that supernatural help to give us the right, you know, discipline to give us the strength to give us the capacity to do God's word. Doing God's word. You know, the Bible says it's not by might, it's not by power, but it's by the spirit of God. So those are the things that we need to, to remember.
[00:26:21] So let your speech always be gracious, okay? Let your, your speech be seasoned with grace. Let your communication be communication of grace. Even if you need to say something that is difficult.
[00:26:37] You know, when you communicate with grace, when you pray about the things that you are going to say to somebody, you can communicate a very difficult thing, a very harsh thing, but you can communicate it beautifully when you communicate with grace in such a way that when you communicate, you're not destroying somebody's personality, you're not destroying their self confidence. You're telling them information and they are learning and they are being taught and they are being lifted at the same time. Listen, I know not everybody can receive communication well, but this is what God, God's word tells us to do. And sometimes even though in your presence, someone might not receive a word well, the words that are communicated with grace, they leave an impact. And so the person might not tell you right there, but when they go home, those words never leave them and those words will help them. Praise the Lord.
[00:27:34] I'm going to read to you from John 6:63. And this is what the Lord Jesus Christ says. He says, it is the spirit that quickeneth the flesh, profiteth nothing. Nothing. Because the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.
[00:27:51] So Jesus Christ understood.
[00:27:54] He knew. He says my words, they are spirit and they are life.
[00:27:59] And that's why the word of God places a premium on words.
[00:28:05] Because throughout the text from the Old Testament to the New Testament, we are warned, we are given instructions about how we use our words consistently.
[00:28:17] And so Jesus says that the words that I speak unto you, those words, they are spirit and they are life.
[00:28:24] How much more you and me, who are made in the image of God, we are spirits, we are spirit men, and we are, you know, we're being careless with our words. We are saying anything about our spouse, we are saying anything about our children, anything about our academics, anything about our careers, anything about our money, anything about our future. You know, I put a post on social media the other day, and I said, the words I am are very powerful. Whatever follows, I am is. Is being established.
[00:28:59] Because, you know, the Lord told Moses when he, he asked, asked him, who should I say sent me to Pharaoh? And he says, I am.
[00:29:11] Tell them, I am.
[00:29:13] I am, that I am sent you.
[00:29:17] So, you know, God identified himself with I am. He. He identified himself as I am.
[00:29:26] So everything that you now say after I am, can you just imagine how powerful that is?
[00:29:34] And now you say, I am broke, I am sick, I am depressed, and someone might say, but okay, Lurian, what, What are we supposed to do when we're facing certain challenges? How do we communicate, etc. Etc.
[00:29:49] You can communicate something without possessing something negative. You can communicate a truth or you can communicate. I don't want to say that your symptoms or the negative things you're going through in life is your truth, because that's not it.
[00:30:04] The symptoms in the body, the challenges, that is not your truth. The word of God is your truth.
[00:30:10] But you can communicate and say, you know, I'm feeling a headache instead of, I have a headache. Why are you possessing the headache? Why are you possessing certain conditions when the word of God has told us, us. You know that words are so powerful.
[00:30:26] You know, the. Your words are. Are snares. Words are snares. They are traps that want to entrap you.
[00:30:36] Okay? So very importantly, your words are spirit and life. So be careful about the things that you embody, the things that you possess, the things that you agree with, you come into agreement with.
[00:30:50] And my final scripture before we get into a time of prayer regarding directing our words rightly in this week and always.
[00:30:57] Matthew 12:34, 37 says, you brood up vipers. The Lord Jesus Christ speaking to the Pharisees. You brood up vipers. How can you who are evil say anything good?
[00:31:09] For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. And there again we see, you know, the premium of words that a lot of the times, the things that you say just reflect what's going on in your heart. So if there's a lot of negativity, a lot of worry, a lot of doubt, of course your communication is going to reflect what is in your heart. And as a Christian, what is supposed to be in our heart?
[00:31:32] Faith, love, hope.
[00:31:35] Those are the things we have in our heart.
[00:31:38] It says, a good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
[00:31:53] So your words are also a reflection of your heart.
[00:31:57] But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word that they have spoken. Everyone will have to give an account on the Day of Judgment for every idle word, every empty word that they have spoken.
[00:32:15] What are empty words?
[00:32:17] Careless words, Curse words?
[00:32:22] What are the idle words you have spoken over your children? The empty words you have spoken over your children? You just say, this one is very disobedient. It's very naughty. It's very.
[00:32:32] Just because they did a spec. You know, an action, and all of a sudden they've received a behavioral trait by words from words.
[00:32:42] This one is a witch. This one is he. You know, he's very wicked, his behavior. You're speaking like this about your children, your family members.
[00:32:51] Those are idle words. Those are careless words. And then years later, the seeds of your words, they reproduce after its kind.
[00:33:01] And you say, I don't know. My child is just like this. I don't know. My body is just like this. I don't know. I'm just, you know.
[00:33:08] But you send words continuously. Seeds of the word, seeds of words, negative words, idle words, empty words. You've been speaking over the years, and those words have now taken root, and they've now grown, grown. They've now germinated. They've now you've reaped a harvest of the words that you have planted.
[00:33:32] Okay? So you're gonna have to give an account to the Lord for those words, because people want to blame God. They want to blame circumstances for their life going in a particular direction. But when the Bible tells you the Tongue is a rudder. It's directing the ship. So the tongue is directing your life, life where it is going to.
[00:33:53] And so even the words that you think, hi, it's a joke. You know, these trends that happen on social media, I'm dead.
[00:34:01] People are just saying things like that I am this, I am that. I am super powerful words. And we jump on every single trend. And the world will make you feel like you're too serious or you're too spiritual, not knowing that these are the traps that have been been sent, you know, or set out by the enemy to ensnare you so that you can be a victim of your words.
[00:34:27] And then Jesus ends. He says, for by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words, you'll be condemned. In other words, therefore, by your words, you'll be justified.
[00:34:37] And by your words, you'll be condemned. So either your words will condemn you or your words will justify you. They will declare that you are not guilty. Oh, hallelujah. We're going to take some time to pray right now about our brand new week. And we're gonna. We're gonna just pray and thank the Lord that we are disciplined, we are energized. We always have the right words to say to every person, to every circumstance, about every person, about every circumstance. And we're gonna cancel every single negative of word, every single idle word that we have ever spoken in our lives, every word of death that anyone has ever spoken over us, any word of death we have spoken about ourselves, we're going to erase those words. We're going to cancel those words. And I want us to, you know, punctuate our tongues with brand new words of life that's going to go into this brand new week, and it's going to go into every area of our life from today. We are enacting new words. Oh, hallelujah. Let's pray.
[00:35:51] Oh, thank you for the gift of words.
[00:36:00] Thank you, Father, for the power of the tongue.
[00:36:06] The tongue is life. The tongue is death. My tongue has life. Life. I declare that my tongue has life. My tongue speaks life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
[00:36:21] Pray, pray, pray wherever you are.
[00:36:29] I am speaking life. I'm using my tongue. I'm using my words to speak life. I speak life.
[00:36:38] I speak life into my life. I speak life into this new week.
[00:36:45] In every single day there is life In Monday, in Tuesday, I declare life. In my week, I declare life. In my Wednesday, I declare life. In my Thursday, I declare life. In my Friday.
[00:37:24] Oh, I use the power of my tongue for life, life, life in abundance.
[00:37:33] And right now, every word, word of death that I've ever spoken, every word of death that I've ever spoken concerning my life and my purpose, every word of death that I've spoken in my life, over my life, over my family, right now, I cancel those words, words. I erase those words with the blood of Jesus.
[00:38:07] Every idle word, every word of death that I've ever spoken, Every word of death, every idol word, every empty word I have spoken about my life, over my life, over anyone's life. May those words, words fall to the ground. Now, in the name of Yeshua Meshiach of Nazareth, I erase those words with the blood of Yeshua Meshach of Nazareth, I erase those words with the blood of Yeshua Meshiach of Nazareth. Erase those words, Erase every idle word.
[00:39:00] We are erasing idle words. We are erasing empty words.
[00:39:05] We are erasing words of death. We have spoken of our lives, Every word of death. Every idle word I have spoken over my family. May those words be canceled with the blood of Yeshua Meshiach, May they be erased. May those words be erased with the blood of Yeshua Meshiach. Idle words, words fall to the ground. Idle words that I have spoken.
[00:39:41] Oh, every idle word that I've spoken over my health be broken in the name of Jesus Christ. Every idle word I've spoken over my abilities, over my gifts, gifts, over my talent be broken, be destroyed.
[00:40:11] Or every idol word, every empty word, every word of death I've spoken over my children, May they be wiped out with the blood of Yeshua Meshiach. May they be erased, May they be cancer. I cancel those words, those words of death be canceled.
[00:40:34] Destroy those words, Destroy those words.
[00:40:39] Erase those words.
[00:40:45] Erase those words, evil word. Every idle word I've spoken over my spouse.
[00:41:00] May they be canceled. May they be destroyed. May they be erased with the blood of Yeshua Mashiach of Nazareth.
[00:41:09] Oh, I, I, from today, I enact a new way of life.
