[00:00:01] Speaker A: Good evening. What the word says family, and welcome to another power packed edition of Prayer. And guess what? This is our 20th edition of Prayer. We're so grateful to the Lord for this platform, for the increased strength and ability to come and host this platform of prayer, where I know a lot of lives have been impacted, where I know a lot of people have gotten an opportunity and a space to connect with the Father, to connect with the spirit, and to connect with the word in prayer. Prayer.

[00:00:33] Speaker A: We're so grateful. Now, if this is your first time joining us, a warm welcome to you from wherever you're joining us from in the world. This is teach us how to pray, brought to you by what the word says. This is our platform where we commune with the Father. This is our platform where we fellowship with the spirit and fellowship with the word of God as one of our primary purposes for prayer.

[00:00:56] Speaker A: This is our place where we exercise our authority as believers in using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, the Bible says that at the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess in the heavens, in the earth, beneath the earth, that Jesus Christ is Lord.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: Hallelujah.
[00:01:16] Speaker A: He's given us this name as our power of attorney to get things done in the earth. The name of the Lord Jesus Christ is a father form of prayer.
Not only, you know, do we use it at the end of prayer to say, okay, we pray this father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, where we come to the Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because this was, you know, the way, the truth, and the life. This is the means of our connection to the Father. We were given the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, the Bible says that no man come to the Father, but through me, that is the Lord Jesus Christ. So we've been using this name even in prayer. But the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is a form of prayer. It is a tool of prayer. You know, we see Peter and John as they were going to the temple to pray. One day they met a layman at the gate, and he was asking for alms, and they responded. Peter says, silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, I give you. And he says, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, rise up and walk.

[00:02:27] Speaker A: So the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In itself, he was not even praying. He was not even, you know, tearing in prayer or spending too much time. He just says to the man, in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk. So that is how much authority the believer has been given. That is how much dominion the believer has been given in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and so many other beautiful principles that we see that we've been given in the word hallelujah. So this is the place where we exercise that authority. This is the place where we prophesy, we speak into the future. This is the place where we align things in the realm of the spirit. If something is going out of order in your life, the place of prayer is where you can bring things back into alignment, back into order. And when we say back into order, what are we talking about? Into alignment with the will of God. What is the will of God? The word of God.

[00:03:22] Speaker A: So we bring things in your life back in accordance with the will of God, the purpose of goddess we see in the scriptures.

[00:03:30] Speaker A: So I'm not going to take too much time with an exhortation. Specifically today, I want us to jump right into prayer, hallelujah. Because we are at the beginning of a month and I just want us to, you know, spend time just focusing on prayer. So let's jump right into it. This is teach us how to pray. 20. And as you know, what I do is I call out the prayer point and then I read the scripture that we're going to be praying with, alongside.
And then we start to speak in other tongues. We start praying in other tongues.

[00:04:00] Speaker A: We then punctuate with declarations, with confessions, and with the word of God.
[00:04:06] Speaker B: Hallelujah.
[00:04:07] Speaker A: So if you don't speak in other tongues, you're free to pray in the language of your understanding. But I know right at the end we're going to give an opportunity for people who would like to be filled with the Holy Spirit and then receive that ability, that gift of speaking in tongues. The Bible says when we speak in other tongues, we're not speaking to a man, but we're speaking to God.

[00:04:26] Speaker A: So our opening prayer tonight, we glorify the name of the Lord because he has done great things in our lives. Psalm 75, verse one says, we give thanks to you, o God, we give thanks to you. We proclaim how great you are, and we tell of the wonderful things that you have done. And, you know, a few months from now, a year from now, a few years from now, you're like man, I'm robust. I used to melt at certain challenges. I used to break down when there were these challenges. Now I am equal to anything. I mean, I'm more than an overcomer. I'm victorious. It becomes a reality in your life. You know, this, this, this part of the scripture we're focusing on, deeply rooted, securely grounded in the love of God, understanding who you are and how much God loves you. [00:49:09] Speaker A: But before we go, I just want to offer anybody an opportunity tonight who says they want to make the Lord Jesus Christ Lord of their life. They want to accept him. You know, God was so gracious and kind that he humbled himself and he became a man.
And that man, his name was Jesus Christ. Before he became lord, he was called Jesus Christ.
He was born of a virgin, and then he came to this earth. He lived. And he was a very amazing, wonderful, unique character, one of the world's greatest personalities. Everywhere he went, spreading love, you know, healing the sick, opening up blind eyes, mending the broken hearts, delivering the poor, setting the captives free. That was Jesus.
And then this man who knew no sin, he was righteous from his birth. He was born of a virgin. He died.
He died a very painful, very gruesome death on the cross. He was buried, and then he was raised to life miraculously by the father.
He died for you, and he died for me, so that we don't have to pay that penalty of sin.
And so the Bible says that for you to become a child of God in romans ten nine, you've got to confess that this Jesus is now Lord removed from Jesus. He was just Jesus the man.
And then when he was raised to life by the father, when he went through all of this, he now received the title of Lord. So you have to confess that he is Lord, not only lord of your life, but Lord of all.
And that you believe this gospel that I've preached to you with your whole heart, and then you shall be saved. So if you want to have that opportunity, I'm going to pray for you right now. You just have to repeat after me, but you've got to believe this with your whole heart. Say, dear Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your word says, whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I ask Jesus to come into my heart and to be the Lord of my life.
From today I'm born again because I believe that Jesus died and he was raised to life for my account.
And I receive eternal life into my spirit, into my soul and into my body. I am born again. Now I'm a new creation. Now I have newness of life now in the name of Jesus, I also receive the precious gift of the Holy Spirit to live on the inside of me. And I receive all of his abilities.
