While we're so grateful to the Lord to enter into this brand new month, and also to enter into the month filled with prayer, filled with thanksgiving, filled with words of prophecy, with declarations and with utterances.

[00:00:24] Speaker A: Wherever you are joining us from tonight, I want to welcome you to teach us how to pray. And I also want to welcome you to this brand new month of September. May this new month signify a brand new season in your life, filled with all the goodness, filled with all the graces of the Lord Jesus Christ. May this month signify a turnaround for you, a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, a greater relationship and fellowship with his word. And may you continue to move from glory to glory and strength to strength.

[00:00:58] Speaker A: We just started off our prayer session with, you know, a prayer and some prophetic declaration for you. Well, you know what? I want to thank each and every one of you for joining us for prayer tonight. It's our third month in prayer. This is our 19th prayer session. We started in July. We then moved to August and July. We dealt with foundations of prayer. I want to encourage you, go onto the website. The resources are there, the prayers are there. We delved into a lot in terms of the foundations of prayer. What is prayer? Why do we pray? What is the purpose of prayer? How should a Christian be praying all in the month of July? Then we move to the month of August. And we dealt with something that the Lord has personally helped me with and that is dealing with the condition of our hearts.

[00:01:44] Speaker A: Receiving healing for brokenheartedness, overcoming various conditions of our heart, you know, just changing, becoming more and more Christ like in the space of our soul, our heart, our mental, our mental realm. And we're so grateful to the Lord for all of the healing, all of the testimonies. And I want to, if you still have more healing to do, go back to the month of August on the website, whatthewordsays.org and make sure that you go and do those prayers again. Go and meditate on those scriptures again. Well, welcome to the month of September. And prayer does not stop. Remember, this is the life of a Christian. The Bible tells us that men ought always to pray and not to faint. Now you might be saying, you know what, I've been praying with you guys since July. I've been praying so much. But circumstances and situations in my life has not changed. They have nothing yet changed. What should I do?
Well, let me tell you something. You know, prayer primarily is not about changing circumstances or situations. I think this is what we mentioned in the month of July. Prayer primarily is about our fellowship and our communion with the father. And in that space, circumstances and situations get changed. So prayer is not necessarily about changing anything, changing a circumstance or situation, but prayer is about changing you. When you pray, you are changed. You are transformed. That is the purpose of prayer, communion and fellowship with the Father as you fellowship with the Holy Spirit, as you fellowship with his word. More of the light. The light of God now shines on the eyes of your understanding. Those are one of the prayers of the spirit that we also pray a lot. God's light now begins to shine on the inside of you. You begin to transform. You begin to heal. You receive new perspective. Your ears are open to hear. Your eyes are open to see new things. And as you are changed, life situations and circumstances change before you.

[00:03:45] Speaker A: So if you want to see change in your life, consistently continue in the place of prayer. As you are transformed from one level of glory to the next, your life, your circumstances, everything around your world begins to change.

[00:03:59] Speaker A: So don't worry too much. If you don't see things changing on the outside, they are subject to change. They will change soon. Because as you are in the place of prayer, you are being transformed. You are being cleansed, you are being changed. And the light of God's word is shining upon the eyes of your understanding.
[00:04:14] Speaker B: Listen, tonight I don't want to take.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: Too much time, you know, speaking with exhortations. And this is something we usually take about, you know, ten minutes is something that we do usually on, teach us how to pray. But I want to get into prayer tonight because I want us to increase our time in prayer.
[00:04:30] Speaker B: Hallelujah.
[00:04:31] Speaker A: So tonight we're just going to kick off specifically with our prayer of honor and worship to the Lord. So we're gonna spend time to honor and glorify the Lord because he is worthy to be praised. Let your mind, let your thoughts go back to the month of August. Think about all the wonderful things that the Lord has done for you. You know, you are healthy, you are in health, you are strengthened. We prayed a lot about being strengthened. How many of you have done more things since the time we've prayed? You have received increased strength, increased capacity, increased ability.

[00:05:04] Speaker A: So we're gonna thank God for all of this. A lot of you have received new jobs, received open doors. More money has come your way.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Hallelujah.
[00:05:12] Speaker A: So we're going to spend time to honor and glorify the Lord. And even if you feel like you don't have that kind of testimony, praise God anyway. Because when you begin to, you know, name all of the blessings, the things that you are grateful for, the things that you have thanks for in your life, you will begin to see how many blessings, how many wonderful things are actually happening in your life. You have so much to be grateful to the Lord for.

[00:10:17] Speaker A: So, for those of you that are joining us for the very first time, the way the prayer platform works is that we call out a prayer point. The prayer points are, you know, below your screen so you can see them, you can copy and paste them, use them for your personal prayer time as well. So we mentioned the prayer point. We then mentioned the scripture because we are praying in the spirit. Okay, so praying in the spirit. We are praying in the spirit in accordance with God's word. If you're not yet speaking in other tongues, feel free to pray in the language of your understanding. But I know that by the end of this prayer session, you will be speaking in other tongues.

That is the life and the nature of God for us. When we get born again, it's not just about, okay, going to heaven one day or reconciliation with the Father because man was separated from God. All of those things are so important and they're so vital because, you know, it is about our reconciliation and fellowship with the Father. But more than that, the Lord Jesus Christ died, was buried, and was raised to life to make us like him, to give us the very life and nature that he has today as the resurrected Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father. So I want to pray for you today. If you want to receive this eternal life, you want to become a child of God. It's very simple. In romans ten nine, the Bible says that if you believe with your heart that the Lord Jesus Christ died and he was raised to life by the Father, and then if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, if you confess that he is Lord, not only just Lord of your life, but that he is Lord of all, that he is the king of kings, the Lord of Lords, you shall be saved.
